Your name, sir?

I don't know why... I rarely address people by name, unless it's a formality (i.e. emails to professors at work -- I have a keyboard macro insert their name where I can't by my own willpower do it myself).

Maybe I do know why.

Maybe it's because of the power of one's true name, from A Wizard of Earthsea.

It's amazing how fiction from our youths can affect our daily behaviors.

Panoramas

Ok, so I put a little work into writing a panorama viewer. Take a look at the current demo, with a panorama of Moss Landing. The cool thing is that when you zoom with the scroll wheel, the pixels under the cursor don't move. The uncool thing is how slow it is.

Talk like a pirate... in WebCT

Blackboard, the company most recently famous for its corporates buccaneersmanship, boarding the good ship WebCT, slaughtering her crew, and taking its booty, has released:

<a href=\"http://www.blackboard.com/extend/lp/lpdetails?lpid=1021\">Pirate Language Pack

And then, I guess because they realized how they were acting like pigs, snarfing up their competition, they released:

<a href=\"http://www.blackboard.com/extend/lp/lpdetails?lpid=1023\">Pig Latin Language Pack

Arr, me maties; arr. Arr.

Lost to time

Edited 2021-10-30:

Nothing lasts forever, no matter how much you might wish it to.

But Shades of Green is still here.

All the time in the world

All the time in the world is the gap between now, and when you die.

You have all the time in the world...
