Camping Pictures

OK! Time to make a blog post about the camping pictures. First off, in an amazing coincidence, Vance and I each took 209 pictures, exactly! But a large block of mine are part of panoramas, so only 159 of them are posted to my photo gallery.

The panoramas, each about 11 meg JPEGs:

First: The Campsite

Second: The Campsite, with Vance standing in each frame

Third: The Big Meadow, which is a lake during the rainy season (also known as January 3rd - January 20th).

When I come up with a Panorama Viewer, I'll post it there, which may make it more accessible.

Hiking

Hooray for hiking! We went up Cowles Mountain yesterday. I was surprised how many people we ran into at the top -- more than I've seen there other times. The view was hazy, but not too bad. I could see home from there (If you know where I live, I'll let you figure out where it was -- as a challenge :) ).

Sheep and Wolves

"It is useless for sheep to pass resolutions in favor of vegetarianism while wolves remain of a different opinion" - William Ralph Inge

Some take this to mean that sheep are forever powerless. To others, this just means that the sheep have to grow teeth.

RSS Feed

If you are one of those Web 2.0 L0zers (be they ever so lovable), I've created an RSS feed. I'm hoping its idiosyncrasies don't cause excessive difficulties, but if they do, you can file a bug report. Just create an account on my site, and post your troubles.

Just kidding! You can now post comments without logging in! :) yay!

World's Dumbest Car User

As seen on alt.autos.hyundai:

When I do let go it always reverts to low beams. > > > > How can I fix this? > > Don't let go of the high beam stalk. Fixed. > > So... what happens when you push it forward? > > > Thanks Mike. You are a genious PUSH not PULL! I've always driven American cars so this is a new concept. And the four way flashers button is over the stereo! I just have to start thinking outside the box I guess. That was the easist fix ever.
