Another reason why Wal-Mart sucks

According to an internal memo quoted in the LA Times, "46% of the children of Wal-Mart employees either are on Medicaid or are uninsured."

Considering how many people Wal-Mart employs (about 2 million) and the number of children depending on these employees (as a rough guess, 2.5 million), just imagine the billions of dollars in taxes that are paying to subsidize Wal-Mart's "low low prices".

Please please please, do not use "Please Advise" in your email, unless you really want advice on a course of action. Do not say "Please Advise" if you are just asking questions, or if you are telling me something. And even if you want advice, please realize that "Please Advise" sounds snotty and condesending, mechanical and inhuman.

Just please - don't do it.

New room layout?

At some point, I'm gonna move stuff around in my room. This is what it will look like:

The main advantage is that my under-bed storage (which has enormous capacity, but which I can only utilize about half of because of a divider down the middle) will be fully accessible, The main disadvantage is that I won't have much of a view from my computer chair, and it'll be right next to the bed, eliminating any possibility of swiveling.
