To keep this from becoming a political repost site, I'll talk about my moving.
First of all, this has been the most injurious move I've sustained. Nothing too serious, but a lot of annoyances coming together, between slicing open my thumb a few days before moving (I'm surprised neither mom nor dad asked about the bandaid on my thumb -- boy that cut looked gross for a few days, I should have taken a picture!), to dropping my desk on my foot, twice, to numerous scrapes, to narrowly avoiding slicing up my scalp when I shattered a glass light enclosure with my bare head, and now twisting my ankle the day before the old apartment was abdicated to the Archstone Apartment authorities. So now I'm trying to rest that up as much as I can to make up for not resting it at all yesterday. Makes you appreciate health.
The new room is a lot smaller than the old one, but a lot cheaper as well. I managed to fit everything in. The best thing about the new place is how much quieter it is. At the old place the traffic noise would wake me up at 6AM if I didn't close my window -- and even then it was pretty annoying.
And, it's DARK here. Sure, there are streetlights, but nothing as bad as the annoying lights that illuminated the driveway at the old place. I actually have to let my eyes adjust before finding my way to the kitchen for a midnight snack. Well... a midnight dinner, a 3-AM snack...
