I completed my first bike ride along what I will call the SuperLoop. As you can see, it is a nice little 20 mile route that goes along the Route 56 bike path from Carmel Valley to Black Mountain Road. If you look at the elevation map along the bottom, the reason I went clockwise is obvious: all the hills are long and gentle. Going the other direction has two hideous, short, steep inclines. I'd rather work at slow-n-steady than sharp hills; it's probably better in the long run.
